STORIA DELLA CANZONE: l’autore, il Reverendo Thomas A. Dorsey, venne ispirato dalla morte della figlia appena nata e della moglie nel 1932. Da quel giorno il compositore si dedicò totalmente a scrivere brani Gospel.
La prima registrazione di questo brano fu quella del grupopo Heavenly Gospel Singers nel 1937 e l’autore Dorsey la incise a sua volta nel 1939.
