NOTE: box di 4 CD davvero molto bello che focalizza la sua attenzione su 4 spettacoli dell’estate 1971.
Artwork molto valido in un bel long box con libretto di 8 pagine e belle riproduzioni dei menu a forma di cards.
Si tratta di 4 audience recordings delle quali solo la prima, il midnight show del 21 agosto, era disponibile in precedenza (“The Cisko Kid strikes again”).
I primi tre spettacoli vedono Elvis poco ciarliero, concentrato sulla musica mentre nel CD 4, il midnight show del 3 settembre, egli è più rilassato e scherza col pubblico. Questo concerto, dei quattro, è forse il migliore ed abbiamo addirittura due accenni di “I, John” e “His latest flame” ! Da segnalare anche una breve versione di “Wooden heart”.
A mio parere, si tratta di un’emissione degna di apparire nei nostri scaffali.
