NOTE: doppio CD con altrettante registrazioni amatoriali ma di ottima resa sonora di Las Vegas, 20 agosto 1970 (dinner e midnight shows). In precedenza erano già state pubblicate dalla “Memory Records” in “A dinner bell in Vegas” e “A bright midnight with Elvis” rispettivamente.
La resa sonora non è poi tanto diversa dalle emissioni della label ceca; si tratta, ripeto, di ottime audience recordings.
Come al solito, la “Straight Arrow” ci offre un packaging bellissimo (in digipack) di due grandi spettacoli dove abbiamo Elvis ai massimi delle sue possibilità e delle scalette davvero accativanti: sono presenti due versioni di “Tiger man” non in medley, la sempre gradita “I’ve lost you” (che poi, se ci guardiamo bene, non venne certamente cantata tante volte dal vivo, anzi !), “I just can’t help believin'” (idem), “Sweet Inspiration” (la sola versione mai eseguita d Elvis) ed un accenno di “Memphis, Tennessee”, di “Ave Maria” e di “More”.
Quanto basta per rendere questi concerti davvero immancabili nelle nostre collezioni, anche per chi, magari, ha già le edizioni precedenti.
