LOVE ME TENDER IN DAYTON-LIVE 1974
Il 26 settembre, la “Audio Vaults” ha pubblicato il CD “Love me tender in Dayton-Live 1974” che ripropone l’esibizione serale del 6 ottobre 1974 a Dayton, Ohio, precedentemente disponibile in numerosi altri bootlegs. Saranno presenti anche due canzoni bonus estrapolate dal concerto pomeridiano.
L’esordio di questo spettacolo avvenne nel CD “Breathing Out Fire” della “Madison“, nell’anno 2000. I collezionisti lo ricorderanno anche nelle due riproposizioni del 2009 “A day in Dayton” della “Gravel Road” e in “Dayton reloaded“, su etichetta “Boxcar”.

ROCKIN’ IN GEORGIA
La “SR Records” ha annunciato per il mese di ottobre, la pubblicazione di “Rockin’ in Georgia“.
Si tratta di un doppio LP che funziona a 45 giri per quanto riguarda il primo vinile che riporta diverse versioni di “Promised land”.
Il secondo disco ci farà ascoltare lo spettacolo serale registrato a Macon, Georgia, 24 aprile 1975 (soundboard). Nulla di nuovo in quanto la “FTD” ce lo aveva da poco proposto in “From Georgia to Florida“.
La copertina è in cartoncino lucido e si apre a “gatefold” e sarà accompagnata da una foto su carta lucida della dimensione di 30 x 30 cm come bonus.
Si tratterà di una tiratura limitata in soli 300 esemplari.

Il fan club britannico, in collaborazione esclusiva con GRM, ha annunciato l’uscita del singolo di Natale “The Wonderful World of Christmas” / If I Get Home On Christmas Day”.
Questa edizione limitata in 45 giri è disponibile in vinile rosso che riproduce fedelmente il look dell’album LP del 1971 “Elvis sings The Wonderful World Of Christmas”.

Vinile e CD della “RDM” su “King Creole”
Un mese prima dell’uscita, l’etichetta discografica francese RDM-Edition ha aggiunto le anteprime audio delle prossime edizioni in CD e vinile da 10 pollici della colonna sonora di “King Creole”.
Il tecnico del suono Anthony Stuchbury ha pubblicato alcune anteprime della grafica del cofanetto.
Descrizione:
Sebbene il recente cofanetto di 4 CD “Presley – The Essential ’50’s Masters” abbia ricevuto recensioni positive, sono state le registrazioni di “King Creole” a ricevere particolari elogi. La colonna sonora del quarto film di Elvis è stata per molti anni una delle preferite dai fans.
Di conseguenza, hanno iniziato a circolare richieste per una versione in vinile con i nuovi mix stereo del cofanetto “Presley”. Volevamo offrire ai fans che avevano già acquistato il cofanetto “Presley” un’esperienza di ascolto totalmente ‘nuova’, ed è per questo che le canzoni sono presentate qui esattamente come si sentono nel film, con le versioni cinematografiche di “Turtles, Berries and Gumbo – King Creole Instrumental – Crawfish”, “Steadfast, Loyal and True”, “Lover Doll”, “New Orleans” e “King Creole”.

“From Elvis in Memphis” in vinile colorato
Il 18 ottobre 2025, in occasione del “National Album Day” nel Regno Unito, Sony pubblicherà una riedizione in vinile di “From Elvis In Memphis” su vinile colorato “Bloody Mary”.
Il National Album Day è una celebrazione annuale britannica dell’album come forma d’arte, che si terrà il 18 ottobre 2025, con un focus sulla musica rock quest’anno. L’evento mette in evidenza uscite esclusive, riedizioni classiche e promuove la musica e la creatività dietro album significativi attraverso eventi nei negozi di dischi, trasmissioni radiofoniche e social media.

L’etichetta francese “VPI” annuincia per il 14 novembre 2025, la pubblicazione di due dischi.
A dire la verità, il primo è un libro con 45 giri e CD “Chante avec Elvis” (emesso negli anni ’70 dalla RCA francese).

Libro “1956 / October 10-31”
Il prolifico Paul Belard ha pubblicato l’ennesimo libro biografico, stavolta intitolato “1956 / October 10-31“.
Logicamente tutto sarà inerente a quel lasso di tempo.
Nell’ottobre 1956, Elvis tornò a Dallas, Houston, Waco e San Antonio, dove diede sei spettacoli che attiravano folle.
Tornò a Memphis per alcuni giorni dopo il suo tour in Texas. Lì, entrò in una rissa con gli assistenti della stazione di servizio e, sotto gli occhi di tutti in America, andò in tribunale il giorno dopo, dove il processo lo assolse da ogni illecito.
Volò, quindi, a New York per la sua seconda apparizione all’Ed Sullivan Show.
Elvis terminò il mese per girare un nuovo finale per Love Me Tender e con la star di Hollywood Natalie Wood nella sua città natale.
ELVIS AND THE STORY OF THE ’68 SPECIAL

David Ward e Atsushi Nakamura hanno annunciato per questo mese di dicembre, la pubblicazione dei due libri “FTD World 1999 – 2025“.
Come si evince dal titolo, i due volumi presenteranno tutte le emissioni della label danese, a partire quindi, dal 1999 fino a tutto il 2025.
I due libri avranno 152 pagine ciscuno, a colori, della dimensione A4. I testi saranno in lingua inglese.
Riedizione di “Elvis UK-Cover story”
John Townson e Gordon Minto, gli autori di un libro sulla discografia inglese, hanno annunciato per questo mese di dicembre, la riedizione di “Elvis UK – Cover Story” che era stata pubblicata tre anni fa solo in formato elettronico.
