Ecco nuovamente la ELVIS ONE con il suo ultimo lavoro “Elvis 1968” che, come si evince dal titolo, propone una collezione di 23 brani alternativi dell’anno in questione.

HOMETOWN MEMPHIS
Una sconosciuta etichetta pirata ha avuto la non originale idea di emettere un cofanetto di 6 CD (in sole 300 copie) che conterrà tutti gli spettacoli di Elvis a Memphis dal 1974 al 1976 e, alla fine, qualche registrazione informale in casa Thompson (ovviamente a Memphis).
Si tratta di un copia / incolla di precedenti bootlegs.

LONESOME AUGUST NIGHTS
La famigerata SR Records ha annunciato un altro suo prodotto che sarà disponibile dal mese di febbraio del 2020. S’intitolerà “Lonesome August nights” e presenterà il dinner e il midnight show registrati a Las Vegas il 18 agosto 1972 (il midnight era stato già pubblicato dalla stessa etichetta nella versione in vinile “Not too sweet”).
Anche in questo caso la SR produrrà il set in edizione limitata di diversi colori. Si tratta di un LP e 2 CD stampati in 100 copie per ognuno dei quattro colori diversi con variazioni di copertine… Insomma, il solito tanto fumo e poco arrosto, classico di questa label italiana.

L’etichetta Memphis Mansion pubblicherà un LP in vinile rosa dal titolo “Elvis Presley at the Hayride: live 1954-1956”.

IL RITORNO DI ELVIS È VICINO ? L’OLOGRAMMA COME IDEA…
In una recente intervista Priscilla Presley ha parlato della possibilità che in un futuro non troppo lontano si possa dar vita ad uno spettacolo musicale con l’ologramma di Elvis.
Riportare Elvis sul palco tramite questa tecnologia, assolutamente spettacolare quanto illusoria, è il sogno di tantissimi fans.
Non ci resta che attendere gli sviluppi, se la cosa andrà in porto.
